Scheduled Tribe Atlas of India
The
Atlas of India portrays the socio-economic and demographic
characteristics of the Scheduled Tribes population. It is mainly based
on Census data. The decadal changes in the above characteristics are
represented with two sets of map facing each other. District is the
basic unit for the presentation of data. Digital techniques are used in
drafting the maps. This Atlas contains 82 maps in three sections.
District level analysis of maps in A-3 size publication reveals clear
regional disparities which may be utilized by researchers,
administrators, social scientists, planners, etc. A state wise notified
list of Scheduled Tribes for each state/ut is appended for ready
